Abby Sanchez

Teacher, Mother, School Board Member, PTA President… Abby Sanchez has held many different titles over the years. Regardless of the role, Abby has always been and always will be an advocate for all our children and Seminole County Public Schools employees.

Abby Sanchez has been married to her husband Bo, a civil engineer, for 33 years. Together they have three children, all of whom graduated from Seminole County Public Schools!

Her daughter, Jessica, is a BSN Registered Nurse in pediatrics. Jessica and her husband, Tommy, just gave birth to their second child in December. Abby’s eldest son, Joshua, graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Business Entrepreneurship, and is currently in officer candidate school for the Navy. Her youngest son, Jake, also graduated from Florida State University in risk management and works for Brown & Brown insurance, and is newly engaged to his Fiancé, Katelyn, a current masters student of child psychology.

Abby Sanchez has been a resident of Central Florida since 1999. She holds a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education from Florida State University, has twenty-six years' experience teaching elementary age children and was the recipient of the "Beginner Teacher of the Year" in Tallahassee in 1992.

Abby loves being an active member of the Seminole County community. She continues to spend her free time volunteering. She is a long-time member of PTA/PTSA, having served for seven years as Lake Brantley’s PTSA President. Additionally, Abby held several positions for Pop Warner programs in the district for a number of years, including cheer coordinator and coach. She was selected for and served on the SCPS Superintendent Search Advisory Committee in 2011-2012. She also works tirelessly for various charitable organizations throughout both Seminole and Orange County.
